For a large structure like a dam I would think a central mix plant and a large crane with a concrete bucket would be most efficient. You sure have some nice looking truck mixers there though but I don't think you could haul very much payload with our DOT in this country. Those 12cy mixers are pretty top heavy with a full load.Ron G

The last picture of the front discharge mixer is the configuration that is taking over our country these days, well, for the last 30 years really but they are are state of the art in the USA.That looks like an "Advance" brand mixer but it seems as though there are many brands out there and all the big guys have tried it.
The driver does everything, all he needs is someone to sign the ticket.Ron G

Interesting mixer tucks trombeur. The front discharge mixer was a gift from the concrete god's to the contractor .

Very agile in tight areas & soft ground . Good driver will put the mud rite where you need it without effort .

I am a little partial to the FWD you posted . A little noisy but they get the job done . http://www.heavytruckforums.com/showthread.php?51-Fwd-Trucks&p=1251&viewfull=1#post1251

Other tasks where it's not practical to get a big truck in the single wheel mixer truck works best . https://www.heavyequipmentforums.co...-done-recently&p=612711&viewfull=1#post612711

Hang on a second .... That crew looks familiar :D

I have never seen a tracked mixer before but the concrete pump will earn its keep and is quite portable. As you know it is important to plan ahead as there are no second chances in your trade.Ron G

Have to mind slump with the pumps, too dry and will rock up the plumbing or fail to feed thru the pump. Watched four Brand New pump sets destroyed working Nuke site where they 'Had to have a harsh dry 3" slump' that did not work, they moved to 5" then 6" to get the continuous pour done.
