I sent off for the title from the military when I bought them, but I don't know if I ever got one. I think they wanted a extra $500 or so for the final paperwork and maybe I didn't spend the extra $. I had 2 of them and got rid of one to a guy making a mud crawler.

Also- microwave and tennis shoes in the service truck? You've probably got your lawn chair and umbrella stashed in there too!

Lol. I knew somebody would notice that. The guys like to heat their lunches up when I'm around. The shoes are an old pair just in case I fubar my boots or if my feet get to bothering me. There's all kinds of random crap in there I've gotten used to having over the years.

I can get a title in OK pretty easy I think. Or it'll have whatever title the cab has if I mount something different on it.

So funny story. My daughter Alex will be starting high school next year. She has been picking electives and whatnot. They toured the two votechs around to see if there's any career path there they might be interested in. They walked into the diesel shop and her friend said "Ewwwww what's that smell?!?" Alex laughed and said "I know that smell, its diesel fuel and diesel fumes." Her friend asked her how she knew. Alex told her I've been around it all my life, probably in the womb even.

There was one girl in the diesel class. Alex's friend asked where the bathroom was. The girl told her and made sure she knew to lock the door. Told her the boys always try to sneak in when she's in there!!!

Here's Alex when she was about 6 months old and when I was about 26.....sheesh it's been a few years!

Junkyard, what kind of radius miles does this company travel to keep this amount of iron working, it impresses me that these machines are kept in work, big investments indeed. Do the operators travel to and from everyday or maybe stay near the job? Cheers

We generally run about a 300 mile radius from the main shop in Joplin. The owners have their hands in just about every type of drilling there is so it's keeps us busy. We do have some redundancy rig wise so we usually have an idle rig or two. Plus some are better suited to other jobs. Most of the time the operators and ground hands stay near the job. We get per diem etc so time out isn't bad.

MF has been in business well over 30 years and is very well managed. There's tons of bridge work in Oklahoma right now plus a lot of building and pretty much every structure down here has piers under the slab.

I took two of my grandsons to the farm a couple of weekends ago. They got to scoop some dirt with a loader, ride in an articulated tractor, and get some seat time in an excavator. They had almost as much fun as I did. The six-year-old is pretty timid, but the four-year-old wanted to put the hammer down. I had to keep my hand on the swing joystick or he would have demolished the end of the new shop! Those are good times, but they sure go by fast !

Wyatt is the more methodical one. His younger brother, Will, is the crazy one. A buddy nicknamed him bam bam. That's about right for him! I bet he remembers this day for a long time.

Had a few hours this evening to work on my beater service truck. Got the back of the cab cleaned up and painted. I didn't do a stellar job because quite frankly I don't care lol. The welder will hide most of it and it's damn sure a lot better than it was. I figure I'll work my way around it. I need to address the hood, glass is cracked where hinges bolt in. I think I'll patch it up and then use a piece of aluminum tread plate to tie it together and hide the ugly.

IMG_9958.JPG IMG_9959.JPG IMG_9960.JPG IMG_9962.JPG Had a rain day today. This weekend I had done some welding on a customers trailer with my bobcat. Hate that stupid SOB so I decided the 400 is going in the truck.

Threw some lead racks on it today and started what I think will be pretty cool. I'll show the start and keep y'all in suspense until it's done.....

It was my buddy Josh's idea so he deserves the credit :)

Almost forgot. Was trucking along the other day as the sun came up and saw my shadow so I snapped a pic. Also there's one of a random occurrence of numbers with the engine hours and temp.

JY, The cab of the service truck is looking a hundred times better! What's going on with the compressor tank?
Regards, Bob

Thanks. I actually changed my mind on color. It's not going to stay white. I'm thinking a flat dark color, maybe gray or something.

The end result of the tank is a surprise....stay tuned. Which with my schedule could be 3 days or 3 weeks until it's done!

Dang, 6 more weeks of winter!;)

Love the pics...reminds me of tagging along with my dad and making trips taking my son, too.

You have a good lookin’ family!
Thanks for sharing.
