If you are concerned about this you could just take the power wire off from the inlet heater to the relay. Fairly easy, if you take this wire off you will prevent codes from coming up in the ECM. ECM knows out to the relay but nothing beyond that, it can be tricked this way. You sure could turn it off if you have ET also. Much easier to simply remove the large power wire though.

If you can get hold of a Click Box (aka 4C-8195 Service Tool) you can enable/disable the air inlet heater in the Power Train ECM. Even without a Click Box you can perform the necessary actions using a short length of wire to bridge the connections in the connector for the Click Box. There are lots of posts on HEF about how to make and use this tool.

Submode 25 is used in order to enable or disable the air inlet heater in the power train ECM.

1. Use the 4C-8195 Control Service Tool to enter Transmission Calibration Mode (8) via the "MODE" switch. Then enter submode 25 by using the "SCROLL" switch.
2. Use the INCREMENT (+) position of the "CLEAR" switch in order to change the selection. Press and release the switch in order to select AH0 or AH1. AH0 disables the air inlet heater in the power train ECM. AH1 enables the air inlet heater in the power train ECM.
3. To exit submode 25, scroll to the next submode by using the "SCROLL" switch or exit the Transmission Calibration Mode by using the "MODE" switch.
