Heres an International 270a I picked up last year. Had antifreeze in the oil so I rebuilt the engine. just got it running 2 weeks ago. painted the engine compartment while the engine was out. repacked one loader bucket cylinder yesterday before the rain hit. Still a lot to do but its coming along. Check out the youtube video series of its progress.20180224_121018.jpgengine painted.jpgengine installed.jpg

This is Nessie, my 2009 JD 310J. Picked her up about a month ago, has about 3200 hours on her. She is 4WD with a 24" bucket and Extendahoe. She was used and abused as a rental in her former life but seemed to have come through without too many battle scars. Had rented backhoes a few times but decided it was time to get one to keep on our property, endless projects ahead.

My youngest son dubbed a 1940 Farmall M "Lindsey" after Lindsey Vonn, the skier. "Why", I asked. A: Because she is big and beautiful.

In 1940 big, and beautiful had a different meaning, but by the late 1960's Dynahoe fit the bill. I love them, a big part of the mystique is the Detroit Diesel engine. No engine will ever sound as powerful as a Detroit!

Willie, my hearing is just the opposite. Nothing sounds more powerful than a big bore long stroke 4 cycle diesel engine moving 80K lbs of weight from a stop at 600 rpms and shifting up. :)

Well done man. JD is reliable stuff. A friend of mine has a JD325, he bought it new it is 8 years old now and has round 8000h run. Never had a big problems with it. It is just a little slow to operate.
