Has anyone replaced a hydraulic pump on a 850G? Book shows to just unbolt pump from timing cover and remove, I’m a little nervous about the timing gear dropping if I don’t remove front cover. I suspect the front seal is leaking on the pump and need to replace it. Thanks

There is an adapter housing between the pump & timing cover.
This will hold the gear in place & the pump will simply withdraw from the adapter as described.

Thanks for the help. I had been looking at that diagram wrong, think I got it now. I suspect a bad seal is causing engine oil to rise.
