JD410G running problem

Yesterday in this bitter cold my 410G gave me a fit.Started fine, warmed up 20 minutes, started pushing snow and then the unmistakeable feel of no power from gelling up. Had my normal dose of Schaeffer Winter fuel treat in her from using the rig 2 weeks or so ago but in hindsight I should have double dosed. Anyway, after changing the fuel filter, adding some 911 to it and the tank, I got her to run but couldn't keep it running for more than 5 minutes.I then put a salamander under the engine, heated it up well, still, same scenario but actually at the end of the day I couldn't start it at all, could tell no fuel was reaching. Very strange, never happened to me before like this on any rig, thinking maybe a stuck solenoid on the injection pump.
Thoughts?

Just a thought....could there be trash/ice where the fuel line leaves the tank?

A very good possibility. I'm going to blast it Monday when we get our warm spell going (30*'s instead of single digits for the last 2 weeks) with my 220K BTU salamander and /or blowing out the fuel line..Thx

Any smoke in exhaust? Does that machine have a water seaperator?

The last hour or so fighting with it, no smoke, no fuel reaching. One fuel filter with a water drain.

Ice takes a lot longer to melt than wax or gelled fuel. What kind of screen is in the tank on that?

Next time, start at one end and see where there is fuel and where there isn't fuel. Or start in the middle, whatever looks most suspicious.

IF ALL THAT FAILS> take the side cover off the injection pump, 2 flat head screws & see if the fuel will flow out..
While your there, look for "coffee grounds/ mouse turd" looking bits, in the corners of the pump housing.
IF the fuel flows & theres NO mouse turds, put the cover & gasket back on.. leave it loose, loose enough for some fuel to flow out & try to start it..
IF it starts.. tighten the screws back up.. if it stays running GREAT.. if it dies.. you have bigger problems than ice in the fuel. {flex ring}

I'm quite sure it will be "cold related" as this rig is still like new, only has a few thousand hours on her and has always been meticulously maintained by me.Ran perfectly up until this Arctic freeze these last 2 weeks.

Pumpguy, I believe you're also over at JD crawlers right? Your advice on the pump is almost verbatem on my old 450C pump which just got rebuilt--bad governor ring.

I just got caught with fuel not treated enough in my 580L.

I knew it was my fuel when I tried to use my salamander heater to warm it up, and it would not run(the same fuel as in the hoe).

After a 1/2 a day wasted trying to mess around, I drained and flushed my fuel tank and refilled with properly treated fuel and 20% kerosene.

I was surprised to see how cloudy and waxy the fuel looked as it drained out. I had used treatment, but not the white bottle of 911 that I usually use.

I also changed both of my filters and blew the supply lines out.

Even the 150 micron inline filter was plugged up.

All better now.

Refresh my memory--what parts did you buy? I still have the hoe assembly and the loader, some misc.stuff. Oh, also have a nice set of street pads.
