Well, the coastal salt air has finally gotten to both my front and rear throttle cables on my 420D. Can anyone help me with part numbers for the replacement cables? Also, any advice on how to protect the new ones from getting eaten up by the salt?

Thanks!

Looks like the hand throttle cable is a 164-1079 and the foot throttle is a 148-1496.
However, before replacing them check the hinge pin on the foot throttle pedal. They frequently corrode and prevent the pedal from returning to idle position.
Lots of penetrating oil and working the pedal to get them to free up.
