What's the best hand held, lever action grease gun? Lots of different ones out there from $15 to $100. I didn't think a $100 or $150 hand held grease gun existed but they do. Want one that's American made and good but doesn't need to cost as much as my tractor.

Honestly I've used Lincoln, Dynaline, Napa etc. Lincoln is a reputable name but I've never had a problem with wearing out any grease gun.

I vote for Lincoln. Used them for years in a really dusty environment and they held up well.

Every other garage sale I go to I buy a used grease gun for a buck or two. Usually have a couple bucks worth of grease in them and work perfectly. People can't wait to get the nasty thing out of their life. Now I have 7 grease guns. Most are Lincolns.

My lever guns seem to hold up well , got every brand on the shelf & no complaints on any of them .
Some name brand & the rest imported .
The problem is usually with the gun tip or the fitting .

Grandpa was an Orange guy through and through, it stuck with me. He farmed with a UC, WC, WD, WD45, D17 Series III and IV, D19 and 185. All gas but the 185.

My Grandpa started with a WC Allis .
Our 170 has a loader on it as well . Pretty handy all around rig .
In this thread we were packing new wood up with it for the lowboy .

Thank you sir! The whole reason I bought my Deere 450C was so I don't destroy my 170 cleaning my fence rows! Next I need a ripper for the Deere.

The 450C will work great for fence row clearing , and many other tasks .The ROPS cab repair sure turned out nice !

Had a service call this spring to repair a 450 just like yours .
Customer had bought it at an auction and it blew a lift hose on the loader .
Had to pull the bottom pin on the lift cylinder & lifted the loader with the wrecker boom so we could get a " crow foot " wrench up in the pocket to remove & replace the hose .
Tight quarters !

Thanks for the compliments! The ROPS repair came out nice as far as the work done by my welder Matt, couldn't have done better. But the whole ROPS has been bent before I got it and doesn't really look worth painting and sandblasting. I'm afraid to try and straighten it, my thoughts are welds would break or something not good.
