Hey I've got a green engine in my fleet too! Its one of those dual purpose engines, powers the truck and re-oils the road at the same time! :p
I've got a friend that runs 25+ cattle pots every one of the has a pretty green Detroit in it and he keeps two or three on a stand in the shop all the time. ( just to clarify they're not screemers I'm not a truck guy,I'm not sure what model they are )

I don't think it will change anything. It's all politics, it has nothing to do with the real world where we are working to pay the bills.
I don't think the manufacturers will go back to simple, mechanical engines, they want you to go back to the dealer for everything.

I'm with ya there. The boss recently purchase a 1972 Deere scraper, nobody wanted to offload it from the trailer. Fine...I'll do it! Fired it up, that's when I heard the sound of a 6-71. OH YEAH, WE'RE MAKING A LAP OR TWO AROUND THE YARD WITH THE FOOT ON THE FLOOR, MAKE THAT PUPPY SING!
