What oil for D4H around track tensioner

We just replaced track tensioner seals on our D4H series II. The housing around the tensioner was filled with oil, what oil does CAT call for?

It's not gear oil, maybe 50 or 30?

You're right, the recoil spring compartment is not gear oil. The correct oil for that compartment is an SAE30 TO-4.

you are always spot on, I think you sent me the remove and install procedure when we pulled the engine last winter.

Here's an idea. Try this web site - https://servicemanualpro.com/ - then plug in your full machine Serial Number. For around $40 you can get an Operation & Maintenance Manual on CD that will contain a mine of useful information including all the fluid recommendations.
