Cat V kubota etc

Hey guys would like some opinions , purchasing a ctl for my own private use on my property , having previously operated many many machines and brands , dozers , scrapers , excavators etc and also ctl , this purchase though solely for me pushing out fill , road base also will run a slasher/ brush cutter and forks for lifting mainly 44gallon drums x 4 on a pallet
Only have operated two ctl's kubota svl 90-2 and a gehl machine , gehl is out of the question hated it as it would even get a full bucket load of road base without stalling out etc
The kubota was an amazing machine spent about 2 weeks on it seemed to have a tonne of power , lift and well balanced , raise the bucket up above the cab full of wet dirt and at no point did it want to tip was a great machine BUT lol I love CAT equipment I have a few Kenworth trucks with c15 motors and they are unstoppable so basically looking for some advice regarding cat because here in Australia the cat 299d runs at 132k and the kubota svl90 is around the 90-95k mark , never run a cat ctl and the dealer here which is the head office in Australia doesn't give u the opportunity to demo it in a working environment , although they actually kept referring me towards to cat 259d which is 89k including brush cutter and fork attachments I just don't want to buy a machine that might not be able to do everything I need , just would like to know if the extra say 40k for a 299 is worth the dollars compared to the kubota at 92k there abouts , any info and advice is greatly appreciated in advance thanks

The Kubota is a great machine. I have only demo'ed one but allot of great operators of here love them so based on that I don't think you would go wrong by getting one. I own and operate both 299D XHP and 259 D hi flows Both are awesome machines. The price tag is huge on the 299, unless you are doing done serious lifting have a close look at the 259D. I need run an AFE brush cutter on my 259D hi flow and find it works fantastic on the little CAT. Thr 259 is 74 HP and with a weigh kit on it can lift a fair amount of weigh ...don't u deer stand NO demo by your CAT dealer. That is u heard of here in the States, how the hell are you suppose to buy a machine if you can't try it out. The most part of any purchase would be the dealer you buy from. Do you have a good repro with either dealer ? All of today's CztL's are fantastic, it's hard to go wrong in my humble opinion, the service after the sale is the most overlooked but most important aspect to any equipment purchase. Pay close attention to the dealer and their reputation to the people after the sale..

Thanks for ur input pafarmer it's greatly appreciated , got an exact quote for both machines so the cat259 is at 92k including taxes and the kubota svl90 is 95k including taxes
So roughly the same price but obviously the kubota is a bigger and more powerful machine , asked cat guy who I actually know outside of cat could I demo one and he kinda ummm and ahhhh and said he would have to check but it didn sound convincing which is a disappointment , judging they are roughly the same price would you lean towards one or the other just from your experiences ?
Must say cat service is awsome I had one of my trucks go in for a bearing roll they took it in the afternoon and worked on it overnight and was back at work the next day so pretty good service , buddy of mine runs kubota and from the same dealer and he has had great service from them , basically both the cat and kubota dealers I am dealing with are the head offices for each brand , not sure if it would be worth pricing out a bobcat or not. Basically just want an overall good tidy machine to do everything I want and not attempt to do something and then say dam it lol thanks again for ur input it's really helpful

Kubota with their insurance is the way to go.
