cat 236 d radio help. please

hello guys . just bought a cat 236 d. said its radio ready found the plug on the machine. but not sure if its 12 or 24 volts. found radios thats say they will fit. but both volts. any help would be appreciated. thx

Self-levelling is an attachment (i.e. an option). It does not appear that the machine was built with that attachment fitted however all the wiring will be there in the harness for it.

BTW the radio connection should be an 8-pin rectangular female Deutsch connector with 7 wires going to it (see diagram below). Is that the one you are looking at..?

You may need an adapter harness to connect the radio. I don't have the part number off hand but it will allow you to hook pretty much any radio into it. It will be cheaper to buy the harness and a regular radio vs buying a Cat specific radio.

Pop the cover off the radio enclosure in the cab. In the 242d that we had, the harness and antenna were both included. I have a Cat radio that we took out before we sent the unit back lease end. It would plug right in. PM me if you are looking for a radio.
