We are wondering what this valve is for on the RH side of the 740 A Grader that we just purchased? It has a wire running to it, so must have a solenoid valve built in to divert oil elsewhere? Wire is off now.....

We used the machine to grade a parking lot that we have that is a couple of acres in size & so far it does the job for us.

Without more perspective to what else is near, I could only guess maybe some part of a HYD Snow Wing attachment perhaps, as near area of some large mounting plates..??

Someone wiser than me should be by soon, with the proper answer..

Yeah it is for a snow wing. There should be another one in the back along the inside of the frame.

Bobcan got it right. its the hydraqulic hook up for the front snow wing tower.
Champion had a two tower setup for the snow wing. one for the front of the blade, and a second tower on the rh hand side at the rear of the machine that lifted the wing up or down and a cylinder that lifted the two poles that held the wing out from the machine.
there should be two hoses somewhere under the rad that are capped as well and 4 wires to control the two valves for the rear wing
