Did my first System One from cat, nothing fancy but nice to see how this system works.
This was a complete replacement off tracks, rolls and sprockets, also all the wearplates i refurbished them.
also they client went for the heavy trackplates, the standard are to flimzy and flex to much.

its a 5,5m3 one. This one i only needed to replace a few bushings and all the seals.
Also welding in new cutting edges. We're testing out a design they liked to i will see how long this cutting edge gonna hold up..

the next 3 will be more off a job, i got one laying outside where you can see through the shells.. so i gotta talk with the costumer what we gonna do with them..

and also had time to use my air impact wrench setup.
works like a charm! i could also undo the bolts from the Liebherr 984 (i do need to put the pressure up to 10bars).
Also the 40ltr buffer tank makes me to be able to use the wrench even when the costumer doesnt have a big compressor.

They did 6306 hours on them. So really not bad. They got another one who only did 4300 with a set.. All depends on the situation and where it runs i guess

couple weeks ago, also put a Lubecore grease system on the undercarraige from a Liebherr LR1200 (or 1400) this undercarraige goes back to Liebherr and they will put a brandnew top machine on it. so we're hoping Lubecore Europe will get a phonecall from liebherr any time soon, so they can get the Lubecore system instead off the Beka which they got right now..

also helped a mate of mine, keeping a piece of history alive!
think this english wheel is from 1918 or something like that. He just wanted to have some new bushings and helped him out putting them in with liquid nitrogen.

also the welding job off last week evenings..
had 6 track wear plates i needed to mild-face(it's only 400HB..) it was a hell of a job, but got it done on time.
These plates are for a Liebherr 895 dragline.

How many hours did they get out of the system 1 undercarriage?

i'm trying to sell a Robustus system from Berco for a D6.
Cause my supplier has some good warranty hours on them and they say it holds better then the system one from Cat, they do have some clients who can back this up..
But it's a bit difficult to convince somebody with the Berco, i'm not saying System One is better or the Berco one, but there's a lot off money involved so if my client tells me i need to deliver system one, its oke with me:) how ever there is a big price-difference between the Berco and CAT.
Future will tell if i can get the client that far that it will buy the Berco from me..

Had again a nice and busy time since the last time i posted.
here are a few things i've been working on.

Last weekend i had a work marathon todo some work on the Liebherr 984
I had to get the bucket pin bushings back in shape and the pin ears on the quick attachment.

this excavator is used to dig up the gravel(the stick will be all the way underwater, thats how deep they'll go)
they had some issues before they started but now the bushings where cracked and started chewing on it. a lot off left-to-right play as well.
so it was time to get it back in shape again!

also invested last week in a facing head for my line-boring machine.
i've been testing it a bit, but i need to have a bit more time and rest to learn how to work with it.
it needs a nice and flat surface to cut, and the facings i tested on where welded and had probely some rest of smashed bushing in there to..
and with the tight time window i had to get the liebherr done i wasnt able to waste a lot off time in testing the head.
But i will be using it at the body off this clambshell to get the surface where the seal sits smooth again.
