I don't know about Tony's area but summer has come to my part of the workd which is about 100 miles north-west of him. After a wet & windy winter we've now got wall to wall sunshine and blue skies, have had for a while now. Generally any time we get more than 3 consecutive days of sunshine and no rain is classed as "summer". Of course it's not like summer where you are, if we're lucky the temperature might go over mid 20's.
On the other side of the coin in France & Germany it's been raining so hard that they are experiencing major flooding. So all those Brits who went off to France for the school holidays "to get the sun" might just as well have stayed at home ......

Don't you wonder how he has time to share anything with us considering how much he accomplishes?And how about Nige????How could you live long enough to have the knowledge that he has.......about everything?Ron G

I'm originally from the north west coast of Ireland, I have a PhD in working in wet miserable weather hahaha
Lots of the fellow countrymen off to France for the soccer, loos like they'll need to bring their brolly with them so. Winter time here, max of 17 during the day and down to single digits at night but with the wind feels colder. I'd be thinking it was a grand day at home. Must be getting soft haha

Still no rain here, only sea fog. TT Senior Race day today and the fog has played havoc with the race schedule. Big race should have gone off at 12:30 but latest news says 15:45. Reports from one part of the course a few minutes ago were that they'd just had a shower of rain. The 45 minute signal has just gone off it it looks like we are on for a 3:45 start, yippee. Here at the house we just have watery sunshine (because of the fog) and no wind at all. Very humid & muggy. Forecast for tomorrow gives some chance of rain but they've been saying that every day for the last week and we've seen nothing yet.
I would imagine that the good weather here in the UK has had TC up to his ears in work.

Well the "Firm" has been very busy, but I will post a few snaps asap, its a shame its not easy to post pictures like Facebook, 2 clicks and the picture is up.

Just finished going through this wonderful thread, its incredible what one man can accomplish with ingenuity, determination and a few spanners! Very inspirational going over the photos! When my projects seem overwhelming all I need to do is to browse through this thread to get inspired and get back on the tools!

Glad you like my antic's R.H. I have just copped some work in a Brick Works (Northcot Brick) that make bricks by hand, they use machinery to mash up the clay that the Co bought second hand in 1925,I an only there to fix the Earth works kit it's a great place for a Dog like myself, I have also copped work in a Stone Quarry that cut and carve the stone into things of top quality, the stone is hooked out in lumps by a 45 ton swinger, the lumps then are lugged about by a couple of CAT 980's, then cut on Stone Saw's to size, then on to the Mason's table to be hacked into the finished product, so things are about as good as it gets.

Thanks for the offer Nicky. I'll bear it in mind next time I'm in the area. Getting across the "wet bit" from the IOM just to drop in for a brew could be a problem though.... you can't just get in the car and drive there.
