Looking at buying a Kubota U35

Anyone have or run a Kubota U35-4? I'm looking at buying a used one with 200hrs. It will need to be shipped to me so trying it first is not an option. I have only had my bobcat 334 that it would be replacing. I like the speed and power of the bobcat. Would the Kubota compair to that? One thing that I have notice the Kubota has a little less reach and dig depth. Not worried about the dealers I have delt with both in the past.

I will follow your lead on this question. After what I think is a serious comparison of the major mini-ex manufactures, I purchased a new U35 and am waiting for it's arrival from the Kansas Kubota warehouse. Of course I'm anticipating the machine. It will be used on our small farm.
I did not test drive it... this will be my fifth Kubota but first excavator and am confident with the quality and support of that company. Due to the time spent waiting for it I may be thinking too much and developing .... buyers remorse. Well a tiny bit anyway.
I have spent dozens of hours online reading and watching videos, learning. I have seen numerous "reviews" from pretend websites loaded with advertisements. They cut and paste press releases from the machines makers. I have yet to read a review from someone who owns a U35 and has experience with other excavators.
We know a 8500# machine will behave and perform differently than a 12000# unit etc. I have not read or heard any "hates" of this mini-ex. So I should just take a pill and relax. :)

I like the U35 I demoed one but it was too big for some of my work and too small for other stuff. I think its a good intermediate mini plenty if power, quiet and reliable. I own a U25 and a U55 and love both machines. I would say if the U35 has similar size specs to your 334 you'll be happy.

U35 arrived yesterday. Cool machine, everything I wanted with 3 buckets 12" 24" trenching and 30" grading bucket, ripper and hydraulic auger. Will be for use on our farm. I cannot give a experienced review yet as this is my first mini excavator. I have used it for 3 hours getting familiar with it's functions. At this point I have zero complaints. Quiet, smooth. Quick attach buckets can be switched in 2 minutes....sweet. In 6 months I should have a better handle on this unit with .

Not much action here guys, just getting to know her. The U55 was my first choice but I didn't want to buy a bigger truck and trailer to haul it if I have to.
Photo below is unit being delivered....I think I scratched the paint on the bucket. Dang it.

Sorry to tell you, but if you use it much in the woods, you will probably scratch paint on more than the bucket!

If you got the tilt and angle blade, I am envious. I just have the angle blade and it is absolutely great but tilt would make it even better!

How much does the U35 weigh? I stopped at the KX-121 because of truck limits.

Nice machine!
I bought a new KX057 2 years ago.

I use it in the brush.

It has scratches and a few dents. :(
