Cat has an option for hand/foot controls now. No idea what they are like though.

Saw a YouTube video not long ago with Cat talking about hand/foot controls as an option. It would have to be E-H. May also be very expensive. They would probably have to redesign the floor of the cab because it's cramped already.

We had a Deere 323E track loader here that was switchable between ISO, H-pattern and hand/foot. Just looked and that was a $5k option. But then you could keep everybody happy.
That machine is for sale for around $49k used at the dealer.

Cat dealer may be pushing the 262D since it probably doesn't require DEF.

Finalizing price on 272d , salesman just quoting me a higher price now and suggesting a new 2015 model that he can discount 3k, therefore with 2 buckets, extended warranty, ride control, camera, quick attach, a/c-heat, radio 82k, BUT when we first talked he quoted same machine but new model year 2016 for 82k not including the second bucket. Think salesman is playing games.
7 months ago , was quoted 78k, but don't recall if ride control and 2nd bucket were included. Considerable difference in a short period of time.

Hard to tell given what I know as possible variables here, but for certain, if your original quote was May-July last year, the USD vs CDN has 'changed in a bad way' for us Canadian purchasers _ it has bounced back a bit lately, but it really is 10-12% to the bad vs then..

Other than that, salesman always want to sell what they are pushed to _ if you are spending that kind of money, I would get what you want, hopefully for a fair price.. Good Luck!!

so, new machine came in yesterday, salesman tells me it will be a couple days before they pdi it. I drop in unexpectedly to see it. The front door glass is shattered. I ask a mechanic what happened ? Says it broke it transit. He does not know that I am the new owner. I call the salesman later and he tells me , that they will REPLACE the door it is on order, and it will be a few days before it arrives. I come back later that day and there is new glass BUT the weather stripping does not fit correctly, and gaps at the joints and crinked. Well it is not a whole new door, but slapped together from the spare parts bin. At this point I want to body slam everyone in sight. Talked to the service manager and he does not want to talk to me , as I un-politely voiced my thoughts of him and his staff. Now back on the phone with salesman, I tell him I want a new door, not something pieced together by an incompetent inbred idiot. We agree to meet tomorrow to go over the machine. I told the salesman I want a new machine with no damage repair. He ignores this request. i have no given a deposit yet, but have sign some paperwork. What to do ?
