Looking for some help

My ct322 is not starting. Battery is new and lots of juice. When I turn the key glow plug lights up but as soon as I turn key further nothing happens. Can hear clicking from the rear of machine when I first turn key but after that nothing. Have tried using other battery and same results. Checked fuses in cab and all is good

Thanks

Not having any idea what a CT322, is or what engine it has the best I could think of is a bad connection at starter or maybe broken or loose ground strap. Or maybe something a simple as a failed starter?

Ok, did a google search and it is a John Deere skid steer.

This "clicking" at the rear is it a single click when switch is turned on? Or is it several clicks. Do you recall if this was normal or did it just start when this problem stated?

Single "click" after I turn key from glow plug to start. Did not notice it before but may not have heard anything as motor was starting

Agree with some of your other suggestions but looking for ways to narrow down or troubleshoot

The first click should be the fuel solenoid opening. If viewed from the rear of the machine, it is a red flat disc about 2 in below the valve cover.
To gain access to the starter, undo the 2 bolts at the front rops posts and roll the cab up. the starter is in on the left hand side
There should be a 2 wires going to the back of the starter...one under a bolt, which is the main feed, and a smaller one that has a plastic connector. Check them with a voltmeter. The main feed should be 12v all the time. The smaller one should only have 12v applied to it when the key is turned to the start position. Have a helper stand on the loader arm and turn the key by reaching in side the rolled up cab while you check the small wire. if it has 12v when the key is turned, odds are the starter is shot. If you have time, theyre cheaper online than at Deere

Great response rossaroni...

Unfortunately machine is at remote location so will be a bit before I can get back out to check this solution. May just purchase the starter so I have it as insurance.

If anyone else has an idea let me know !

Thanks for the help

If it's in a remote location, get a set of harbor freight stubby box wrenches, or a regular set and a hacksaw.
Deere had issued a revised starter for the ct322, and there was clearance issues on the bottom bolt where it.mounts to the bellhousing. You'll know what I mean when you get to it. ..

Thanks for the tip rossaroni..

replacement starter (aftermarket) is ordered and on it's way. Lined up the other tools you mentioned so once the starter arrives will plan trip to machine. Will try and share pics of the project once it happens

Thanks
