i generally keep it on the high side, sometimes it works then when you go to use it again it will only travel on the low side.is this a electrical issue or a valve issue.????

Or a swivel joint issue? Could be several things, gotta start at the switch and work your way to the motors. Is there an indicator light that comes on?

Usually this is caused by a damaged pressure switch or wiring at the swing motor. If auto idle doesnt work either, this is the culprit.

Other wise it is a pressure switch on one of the pumps or pump regulators.

This can be observed in the service menu on the monitor.

no indicator light comes on, but I do notice that the auto idle does not work properly,my 135 idles right down to low idle, while the 225 just slightly idles down, maybe only a couple hundrend rpm,how does the auto idle work in conjuction with the travel motors??

The auto idle doesnt have much to do with the travle speeds, the computer uses the same sensor to figure out what your doing. there is a pressure sensor on the swing motor and another on the travel pedal valve. if either swich is acting up, the engine will idle down when in A/I and not idle back up when you use the respective function (travel or dig) Any time you use a dig function the swing brake is released, sending a signal to the computer..check the wiring to the switch on the swing motor.

...but more than likely you have a wiring issue or failing sensor on a pump or regulator. the controller want to see high control pressure and low delivery pressure before it will switch to hugh speed. if it doesnt see what it wants, it wont shift.

rambling response...hope it makes sense, but these are the 2 most common causes of your problem.

...btw, the idle dropping only 100-200 rpm when you top using the controls is "eco mode"...normal.
