Do y'all know anything about TEREX TA 40 haul trucks? Mine keeps shearing the u-joint bolts or breaking the yoke on the front drive shaft coming from front differential back to the transfer case. It's a real short shaft. This thing is really eating me up. If you can help me figure this out I'd sure be grateful. Thanks Bryan Dyer in Ambridge Pa

Bryan, check that the universal joints are perfectly aligned. One tooth out on the spline can cause all sorts of problems

Thanks for your input. We found that the damper on the fly wheel was bad. Also it was not the drive shaft from differential to transfer case but the drive shaft from the engine damper at the flywheel to the front of the transmission. We got a new damper back in it today and will put it back in service in the morning, we'll know for sure at that point. Also I will definitely double check for proper alignment on the splines, that makes complete sense although everything looked right at installation but we will definitely double check that. I will post how it turned out tomorrow evening. Thanks again.
