Oh my god! What a extremely sad sight! Trakloader I'm so sorry! Hard to believe H54 was the best truck in the fleet. I remember that EX400 with the short cab riser when it was brand new! Is that L115 sitting behind the shop? Or is it the L18? I'm looking on my iPad so the picture is a little hard to see. The salt air hasn't done any favors to the machines. Are the graders the ones that were bought with the front blades? The shop looks okay in the back ground but I guess it's in tough shape as well. I heard the heat hasnt been on in it for a long time?

The line loader is L-18. Graders are the M-57 and the old M-11 that came from Copper Canyon in the last days of Weyerhaeuser. The M-107 I think is in the shop with a blown engine. I steered the H-54 out of the shop to her current resting place a few years back, sitting on a wooden kitchen chair! No heat in the shop in over a decade now, I think.

Clint It is just the last act in a dying forest industry movie. The same movie is playing all over the coast. Good to see you back and posting is a bonus

H57 HDX- 43-98 S/N 5032730 Delivered to MacMillan & Bloedel's Copper Canyon Division Jan 19/65 12V71-N GM powered with a Fuller 5G-1520 Main trans and a Spicer 9341-A aux trans Lipe Rollway 17 inch 2 plate clutch , Schuler front axle and Clark BD 90,000 lb rear ends 13.298 ratio and that gave her a top speed of 45 MPH. She went through the double shifting era when it was popular for big companies to double shift their equipment and it took a toll on her as it did on all equipment used for that!! Was eventually sold off and a Welder/Fabricator in Nanaimo bought her to re-sell There is pics on here somewhere of her but when he had her he repainted her YELLOW Everywhere Yellow---inside cab dash everything and then for effect he painted a light blue stripe on each side We lost track of her after she was at Independent Diesel in Lantzville just outside Nanaimo Never saw her again. I can find out who the driver was that got her new if you need it. Will this win your wager????

Yes sir. Tried to tell gent that she did not go to Franklin as new. I think Bill Nichols may have had it first. Hector Caillet had her long time as more people wanted automatics. Thank you sir

HDX, that truck you described sure sounds like the one I seen at Olympics camp on Louise Island in 1994 -95. They had this HDX that was painted yellow every where like you said, they took it out for a load to try it out and found out it had lockers in both diffs and couldn't make it around the switch backs. Was not a truck that anyone wanted to drive at that time. wonder if anyone else on here may have seen it then? I was there as a relief driver and didn't have my camera with me:(

Greatwestcam When I saw her she had those Michelin Steering tires mounted on her, All 10 truck tires were those steering tires so you just knew they would not work well for long. Could very well have been her because the time frame was right. Don Davidson is now running their shop(Olympics) I think He was going to come down from the QC Islands to maybe look after their equipment for them Have not heard from him lately so don't know if in fact it worked out for him

Rayb,Post 1176, with a very gentle hand you could put M & B decal back on. There is a Toyota pickup 4x4 in Nanaimo Ladysmith area with original decals. It has a bush box and painted red and white. The darker shade of red.

I've seen that truck. I have to get some other photos. Seton Lake Contracting runs a crew boat that is still in the MB livery, and RocStar has a drill redone to the original colors as well.
