The machine has 2,800 hours. The fuel filter is good. Air cleaner is good. No excessive smoking of any color. Seems to be losing power under a load. Any ideas of things to check?

Thanks

Do you notice the power loss more pushing up hill than on the level? These machines have a little known problem with the fuel pump that can be fixed.

Do the rpm's drop? Have you checked to make sure the th throttle is going all the way to the stop? There is a procedure using ET if I remember right I will have to look it up

Up hill and on level push if you have the blade full, it barely gets a black wisp on initial throttle and you don't see any under a load. The machine runs great other than that.

Thanks

The one I was involved with would sputter and misfire pushing up hill and eventually wouldn't start if parked facing up hill. On the level or down hill it was okay. The lip seal on the pump shaft was letting the pump draw air.

Had my D5G "re-flashed" by the dealer tech. It would drop track speed under load or while backing up. A quick tap on the decal and it would reset.

The re-flash made it run like new again, it was the couple $100 to have the tech come out.

Here are a few threads discussing it -
