Which one was 295?
There is an old Hayes fire truck in the back, not sure what the number was.
I will look tomorrow when I go back on shift

H295 was an HDX from Eve River, powered by a 12V71TT. It's was driven by Glen Freisen before it was turned into a water truck for watering the dry sort. The water tank was taken off of H294 if memory serves me correctly, I used to take it to the bush for washing machines in the summer. I got tired of running out of water because the regular trucks wouldn't hold enough and when you went to refill at a pump in one of the creeks, the suction hose was usually a foot out of the water. Never ran out of water with that truck.

Pretty sure that is the old HDX sitting out back, big tank on it.

Ya, you would have to work pretty hard to run that baby out of water washing a machine LOL

Track loader,I want to say one thing. Of the three big outfits we all know of some guys still out there who would still be putting in a good to keep things going. There were incentives for looking after your truck or machine. Guys I talk to now say it is not mine,I put fuel in and go.

You got that right, so many of the current generation of loggers run the equipment into the ground. Look at HDX, still driving H-17 after 40 years. You don't see guys take care of stuff like that, today.

The pictures look great Trakloader, the Golden Spruce looks nice. I see it has radar again, I remember when they brought it into the shop in 93 or 94. They pressure washed it outside to get the barnacles and seaweed off and it still smelled in the shop! The engine was taken out and a fresh one put in, the radar was removed because they decided that it wasn't needed anymore since they didn't have to tow booms. They took the opportunity to change the electrical system to 24 volt. I was sure glad not to have to pack those 8 volt marine batteries anymore. I helped Andy Anderson change them one night, oh man were they heavy!

Not really M&B related but I have been building an area to play with my RC models over the last few weeks. Here's a run through it hauling a couple loads of dirt to extend the road with my mini M&B tribute Hayes.
