Recently sold my 06 314c lcr with only 2700 hrs for a high price due to demand! The attractive offer got me at first but soon after I sold I'm beginning to think I made a mistake! Now with another month or 2 of downtime here in ny it gives me a chance to replace it , now my options are open? Do I buy a 315 used In nice shape ? Another 314, ? Even thought of a 321? Any opinions?! I'm a small owner operator with a handful of equip! Please give input?

Having a 314CLCR, a 314DLCR, a 321CLCR, a 320DLRR, and a 320ELRR, I've gotta wonder why you're asking? Only you can decide as to what's important. I need a permit to move the 320's and 321. The 314D is, seat of the pants, 10-15% stronger and faster than the 314C. The 320LRR have a far more spacious cab, and wider windshield opening, than the 321.

What type of work do you do? I have a 321 and like the machine. It does require a permit and a low boy to move here as well.

The 321 was in for warranty work and I got a 314E as a loaner, I really like the machine but it was too small for what we do as the only hoe. I'll take the hassles of mob'ing it around for the increase in size and production. Owned 2 315C's in the past and they were great machines, easy to move on a tag like the 314. I'd like to have a 314 in the fleet one day.

Thanks for the reply , I liked my 314clcr a lot ! I sold it cause I had an offer outta the blue and it was a goof offer but now I'm in a toss up! I dig foundations for homes and a few larger ones once in awhile! I love the zero tail swing but I'm shying away from321 just cause it's really a ill big for what I do ! I move everything myself on my 25 tog tag and have moved a bunch of 321s for ppl before so I'm not worried about that ! 315d maybe I'm leaning towards ! Low hr used one, 321 new was going for like 280$ from Ho penn here in ny! Insane . Why did u dump your 315? I was even looking at 316e! Not crazy about the E and the giant counterweight! Looks like a retarded 215. . Wonder if there's much difference in the -314d and the cl

The 2 315's I had were through the years, sold and traded for other tractors. I looked for 315 C's and D's when I purchased the 321 but couldn't find one with low hours at a reasonable price. RPO'd the 321 (used) from the dealer and converted it to purchase. I wanted a tractor that was pre-emission in good shape with low hours and they were like hens teeth.

The dealer also gave us a 316E as a loaner when the 321 was in the shop for over a month but that's a different story. I liked the 316, it was quick and strong with a very nice cab but I didn't like the big ass. The 316 didn't have a thumb so I swapped it for the 314 for a house demo.

If I had to choose between a 316E and a 314E, I'd take the 314 because I like the zero tail. The 316 was a little stronger and faster but not enough IMO to make a difference.

Had a 321CLCR years ago as well. The D models have a larger cab which also made a difference in the decision on the 321DL, as the C model is quite cramped.

A 314 sounds like a perfect size for what you do plus it's easy to mob.

Wow this thread get around! I am a big fan of the 314 and it is light enough you don't need and 18 wheeler to carry it.

Just a note of information--The past few days we've had a deluge of phamaceutical spam, and for some reason it's all been concentrated in this one thread. CM closed it for that reason, and that reason only. I've actually banned a couple of users whose "activity" at the time was 'creating a post' in this thread. I can't explain it, but there's a lot about those morons I can't explain... :beatsme

On edit: And hopefully that problem has been solved, at least for the time being. Thread re-opened.
