How hard is it to find CAT 627E Scrapers with a 3406 for the rear engine?

Dont Knock the 3408 with the right tune in a truck you were "Never Late with a 3408" but i will say the last pump rebuild i hear about for a 3408 got really really close to the 10K mark

Hell fuel is cheep as dirt again, might be time to bust out a 3408 with a pair of sticks in it

We were doing a bridge job in Stanley this summer and one of the independant trucks that was there had a E9 Mack in it. Guy said it burnt a little more fuel, but he didnt really care cause he liked the way it ran. It was pretty cool to have running around on the job, you could always tell when he was coming....very distinctive sound :D

they are fun when you are around some body that doesn't know them and they think that their missing on a couple of clyd's until you walk off and leave them :thumbsup:avid

There was an old timer that put an E9 in a pete glider "because he had the motor" that thing would pull dont know what happened to it though.

If you have the money go with the F series 627's. I've run the the late model E's and F's and the F was a superior machine IMO.
