Welcome to HEF jojogash. :drinkup

Can you better describe "always wanting to die"?

Is the engine stalling out, or does the engine remain strong and instead the drive alone is weak?

yes the engine stalls out then you wait a few min and it will start back up and run just fine till I start tracking then it dies

Then you have a fuel supply problem, i.e., clogged fuel filter, clogged fuel pick up tube in tank, or failing fuel lift pump. Run the machine hard tilt and make it do that again. As soon as you make the engine stall out, open the engine door and see whether the fuel primer bulb looks normal or if it's sucked flatter than a pancake.

I would be looking for a problem in the load sensing system during travel. It sounds like you have a pump over stroke problem. On all excavators each pump is capable of taking more hp than the engine can produce if not regulated properly.
I'm hoping someone who is more familiar with the bobcat system can give more details on testing.

On Bobcat excavators, load sensing happens at the pump, i.e., no load sense lines from control valves. Meaning, if there was a load sense problem it would affect all functions. :)

More accurately, on Bobcat excavators, stand by pressure happens internally at the pump, no load sense lines from functions. :)

OK. So it really only has a horse power control built into the pump.
I'm thinking about cat again.

Then how come he doesn't have a problem while digging, only happens while tracking? Does he have a clogged case drain line from one of the travel motors? Has he tried lifting one side of the machine up and only using that one travel motor to see if it stalls out the engine and then try the other side?

I'm only basing my assumption on what jojo stated, namely this;

then you wait a few min and it will start back up

My logic is that if excessive hydraulic load, or some other hydraulic malfunction was causing the engine to stall, then it should fire right off when he goes to re-start. The fact that he has to wait a few minutes indicates a restricted fuel supply line. Again I ask, when the engine stalls is the primer bulb sucked flat?

Oh, and your question, we have a 335 G series and I've noticed the engine has plenty of horse power for digging functions, almost impossible to stall the engine when digging, but the drive functions seem to require way more HP, especially turning the machine while tracking, it really puts a load on the engine compared to digging. A fuel restriction would really show up while tracking on a 335. :)

For some others who may watch this forum, it's possible the machine is stuck in high gear.. 2 speed. The button on the blade control could be shorted or depressed. I don't think a 2006 had an angle blade and I'm making an assumption that the blade control has the 2 speed travel button like my 2009 335.
If that is depressed, unless you are tracking straight, it will bog down even at full rpm if it is in high speed travel mode.
