BC-12valve,welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy and are able to post some pictures.
BC-12valve,first of all you need a BC licence. It needs to have #15and #19endorsements.these cover highway and industrial air for off highway. If you are not experienced in off highway trucks, then you need to be broke in. Most companies now use the highway trucks for bush and highway hauls. To break in on a off highway, you would need to ride along with someone until you and the trainer feel you could handle these units. You would start off driving empty then gradually drive a loaded truck with a load of 100-130 tons. You do not get paid for this training. These days not many drivers are broke in as it takes a lot of time with no wage. But it is the best job out there from my point of view.Good luck.
Welcome aboard 12V......The Pacific P-16 that's sitting at Coast Powertrain is kind of unique in that it is a manual transmission truck..It was pouring out when I was there but I am pretty sure it was 12V71 powered..
Driver training sounds like fun.....Cory
