1996 series 2 super l

issue is it wont stop going forward even when you put it into neutral, you have to put it into reverse (for about 2 sec) then you can put it to neutral and it will work

No fuses are blown all relays work as they should, completely stumped!?!?
Even when you hit ( clutch)button on loader it will not bypass or stop it you either have to apply breaks or keep putting it into reverse

what are we missing.

Assuming you a shuttleshift transmission -
The transmission is controlled electrically, but in saying that, you may have a problem either in the control valve or even in the fwd clutch pack.
With the engine off & ignition on, cycle the fwd/rev lever back & forth & listen closely to the transmission control valve. you should hear the fwd & rev solenoids click with each selection.
If you can hear the clicks, the electrics should be OK.
You will need to remove the control valve & check the spool at the fwd/rev solenoid - it may have something in it making it stick. If you clean out the valve & the problem persists, I would fit a test gauge to the transmission & check if fwd has pressure when neutral is engaged - suggesting a valve or clutch pack problem.

An auto electrician should be able to test the solenoid valve if the dealer is unable to

Now backhoe continues forward, in forward, neutral and reverse.

Clutch/ button on loader will not engage either...also to switch gears I have to shut it off now..will not let me change gears while running

With key on ( machine off) I can hear the relays clicking

Now there's one for the books!
Usually if there is a locked up forward clutch pack - when reverse is selected the machine will not move at all - trying to go FWD & REV at the same time.
Have any pressures been tested yet?
Has the control valve been off & inspected?
