Anyone running a Bobcat E63? Or comparable size in other brands?

I have been looking at stats and finding information from the companies, but seems to be little information on forums or otherwise from the users. Anyone running a E63? Issues, performance, true dig depth...... Hoping to demo one next spring if goes well. :cool2

The only thing I know about the E63 is it's a Doosan painted Bobcat colors. The local dealer has one on their yard and it's a nice looking machine.

I would go with a brand that has good dealer support in your area. Demo as many as you can.

I tend to agree with CM. Look at a 55, they are a very capable machine. Our's had had a few problems but Bobcat of the Rockies is always there. Within a day or two.

I like the reach of the 55 with the extenda arm, but you can't run a hyd. implement on the end without the arm pinned. So it limits the depth, and that is why I am looking at the 63. I would go bigger, but then I would have to buy another trailer to haul it, since the weight of an 85 would overload my trailer. Our bobcat dealer has a E50 and can get a 63 in. I hope to demo both before I purchase either.

Our 55 has the long stick and it works fine. I understand about the extenda-boom. Not sure what line of work you are in, so it's hard to comment. I'm not sure you would want to hang a head shaker or bull ***** on the end of an extenda-boom. The 85 is also a Doosan. As soon as the Bobcat's are fully badged Doosan's, I will probably be looking to find another compact line.

What is wrong with a Doosan? There is a very low hour E50 with a long arm at the dealer. I am going to take it for a demo hopefully next week. CD have you tried the 50 vs 55.

Theres nothing wrong per se with the Doosan excavators, they just aren't nearly as common as a Bobcat built machine. On the bright side, the E63 has a closed center hydraulic valve which will definitely help in cycle times and keeping a good amount of margin pressure available for multi functioning.

Doosan is a respected and proven brand in Europe. Your bobcat dealer should have no trouble supplying you with parts and service. I looked at an E55 and an E60 last year. The dealer was trying to steer me towards the E55 but it just wasn't in my budget. One thing that he mentioned on the E60 was that due to it's weight class, it had more emissions components to maintain. (This is from a dealer in Europe, so you'd have to verify if the same would be true on the machines in North America.) That's about as much info as I can offer.

Thanks for the input. Did you end up demoing both the E55 and E60? Was there a noticeable lifting capacity and dig depth to the E60?

No, I didn't demo them. The E55 didn't have a bucket and the E60 was already sold.
