My book calls that an abnormality in the governor motor drive. Do you have the engine with individual valve covers or a single valve cover?

Unfortunately my book covers the machines with Komatsu engines and the Cummins engine throttle controls are a little different. As I recall the Cummins has a solenoid shutdown while the Komatsu uses the throttle lever. I don't recall if that made any big difference in how the systems worked. I'll read off the procedure for the Komatsu engine and hopefully it will be close enough that you can figure out your problem.

There are two harnesses that connect to the throttle motor. A three wire and a four wire. You are checking the four wire unit. Disconnect the four wire connector and using an ohm meter you should have 2.5 to 7 ohms of resistance between wires one and two and the same between three and four. There should be nearly infinite resistance between one, three and four and two, three and four. One and two wires are next to the locking tab as you look into the end of the connector. You can also check that the motor arm moves at all. Before you do that make both harness connectors are disconnected. Apparently moving the motor arm while the wires are hooked and the key turned off creates a current that can do bad things to the computer. I have seen a couple of units where the arm was frozen solid. Also if you hook up the harness connectors again and turn the key on the arm will lock up. That is supposed to happen.

Let us know what you find.

Just changed a controller for this code.. 5k$. Don't forget to check if any wire is grounding out as well. Should be minimum 1 mega ohm from one 1 of the 4 wires to ground. Start with checking those things then we can look at the harness.

Dear all,
Problem sorted!! there was damage to the loom where it came out of the cab by the anchor to the boom. Something must have crashed into it when the machine was site
clearing. Thankyou all for the infomation and a helpful forum.
Regards Red Diesel.
