Hank R Check out Vancouver Island Logging at its best page # 87 posting #1267 , there is another picture of M&M P16 Pacific #116 , it was new at Muir Creek in 1972 and Toby Hird was the first driver. Ken Ganton lives in the Cobble Hill area , haven't run into him for awhile , last time I did he was holding his own.

Talked to the old snake charmer last week, still as sharp and witty as ever. His wife was out shopping and he told her not to get any green Banana's in case he turns over before they turn yellow:)

I feel like I won the lottery, found the Old Pacific that was sold to Capostink Timber in Clearwater B.C. is still alive and in great shape for its age. There is a new picture 1959 or 1960, then one from summer of 1961, and then the ones from May 11/2011. Truck was used by the local dirt race track until 4 years ago and is just parked for now. New at Pacific factory.

Cory I will try this weekend to call Phil my contact there to see what is happening with the car club and the family members. We both know what will happen if it is not sold or given to a collector. Kids will destroy this classic.

When I was in Campbell River I seen this Alpine P-16, never seen a P-16 with bling,:) chrome air breathers.

Was in the shop getting ready to work at a island up north.

I'm pretty sure this is a P12. It has the straight frame rails and centered cab. They were popular in the Shawnigan division. There are before and after pictures of this truck over on Pacifictruckclub.org. It was formerly M&B H361.

Great pics and good to see it is still used.

Thank-you for correcting me shows how little I know, never thought to look close at it. Sure like the colour and a touch of shiny stuff.

You know plenty Hank and thanks for sharing these pictures. Very cool.

Coast Powertrain rebuilt several of these P12's. One is working for Edward's Moving and Rigging out of Lexington, KY. I have found pictures of at least two more, all painted a dark blue and white, but in different schemes.

I do remember that truck....Built I believe just after I started there..It was built just outside the office door in the north east corner.A unusual spot as its a bit tough getting out the door from there.I have a perfect picture of it in my head and I remember when she was fired..A tad loud as she didn't have turbo's.I believe it was the first 16V71 I had seen....Pretty sure I worked on it but that's all I remember...

2nd pic looks like a rather large P-12W.....from my initial look I would say its a first gen Utah Mines truck
