They look like narrow-base terraces but I don't see any intakes. Maybe silent intakes? Or just water diversions?

Thinking the same as pushcat, narrow terraces. For water run-off and erorsion control. We have built a number of them here in SW Wisconsin. So now, surprise us and tell us its a totally different deal, lol.

Right on !

You guys got it right off, just thought i might get a few more of the the guys to bite.

The narrow base terraces are about all we build anymore.Squizzy you missed, sorry:D They are sometimes called A frame because of their shape.

We use to build braod based and grass back terraces. They are also build reverse sided terraces.Steep on the front side and farm the down hill sloped off side.

Will install intakes now!!!!!!!:usa

Dont think I have ever saw one of those around these parts on farms Construct'O

Heres a few pic of another terrace that i built. It was across into another field. It was muddy because of drainage tile lines draining into area where i was working from across other side of a road.

It is more of a broadbase terrace. The landowner mainly wanted it to stop the water from running down below the terrace where he was going to be farming.Since it is only about 50ft to the road, he didn't plan on farming above the terrace,so didn't care about the water running down into the terrace on the top side.

If he had been i would have backhoed in another riser up closer to the road to just to stop the seepwater.

wasnt going to post because you gentlemen make me look bad. the last week my buddy and i cleared 5 acres in 10 hours of run time with a d75s and a 555 ford back hoe. most was pine up to about 8 inches in diameter. 2 acres in hard wood max of 10 ins. in swamp. loader was almost half track in mud. that part wasnt easy . left it burning last nite. now all it had to do was be able to bush hog with a 3000 ford tractor. the swamp wont ever be bush hogged. wheeled vehicle would sink first pass. actually had mud clogged 8 in. up radiator guard on loader.no i dont have pics dont own a camera wouldnt know how to post them if i did. oh all trees were about six feet apart.

You've got pretty thick jungle/rainforest in Belize. Seventy acres is pretty good for a days work. Can you burn the trees once you push them over? How do you get rid of the debris?
