Its so the operator doesn't get their feet wet or get away from the foreman :laugh

As for rust I doubt those machines are used in salt water bodies man if they were they sure wouldn't last very long

Well maybe someone can translate for us.

Enkele foto's van in het water . Met dank aan mijn collega .
Binnenkort zal je bij het solliciteren een zwemdiploma moeten voorleggen denk ik , in plaats van een VCA .

From the few words that resemble english in the thread by the original poster those pics are of it being tested and it's going somewhere in november.

I'd imagine somewhere it tells you what they will use it for. Just need to read that jiberish. lol

What kind of work does that machine do to justify that kind of modification.
you'd have to run it 24 hours a day to keep in a profit margin

You would be surprised we ran my 1050 Deere in the Pacific for a month 16 hr. days and still got 6500 hrs. out of the undercarriage. Deere said it was rated for 7000 hrs. and it wasn't babied off that job neither.

I understand comments about corrosion in this thread but there are a number of excavators that work full time along our coast, in the water and on the beach. They are used for wharf and jetty maintenance as well as salvage work. They don't seem to do too badly for corrosion at all. I know the operators double check everything and the most important part is cleaning as soon as they come out of the water but these machines are not rust buckets.

I dont really know what it is used for but they are testing it in Oostende and in the same town there is the demolition of a pier with an EX 1200 and a zaxis 870 tripple from Abeko.
As it is from "De Nul" I think it will be going to Dubai ore Quatar to build some new ilands

The machine is not going to Quatar or Dubai . It's going to work at the Seycellen islands
