Just a thought on the hydraclamp problem- if the hydraclamp system is like the Jcb 3CX once you have released the clamp valve lift the bucket off the ground and then press the bucket on to the ground this will have the effect of pushing the oil out of the clamps. make shre you have the stabiliser legs hard on to the groung and the front bucket likewise, swing the bucket out to the same side as the side shift is at, press the bucket into the ground and using the boom and dipper/bucket movements "wiggle" the sideshift across.Make sure you dont spear any buried services with the bucket teeth!
