On a Komatsu pw160 rubber duck (wheel excavator) has anybody ever come across a jumpy pilot system? All the controls go smooth then every couple of seconds give a bad jerk. It happens in both control levers and can be felt in the brake pedal too? It seems to be not as bad with the park brake applied?

Make sure that the pump is not cavitating

faulty park brake pilot system id guess
park brake is normally spring applied
so if fault occurs with park brake off id be looking for leaks or bypassing in park control system

I'd lean toward the pump as well. Also there are usually inlet screens in the banjo bolt on the ppc valves, check it and see if there is material blocking flow.
