Hi Finally got the truck finished. Went up to Williams Lake BC to deliver it and the trailer didn't match. Trailer what trailer you ask. Get comfortable it is a long weird story. Years back (9 maybe) there was a sort blurb in Truck Model World abot a fellow in Austria that was making a kit of a Peerless Trailers Super B-Train logging trailer. I contacted him by email, wanting some info about price etc. He asked if I could help him, he felt he didn't ahve it quite right. Here in Victoria I don't many logging trucks period so getting a close look at a Peerless B-train wasn't going to happen. I put hm in touch with fellow modeller in Quesnel that works for his father log hauling company, they might have one or know of one to get the info. Eventually the fellow in Austira was in contact with Peerless directly. 3 yrs ago after getting the inquiry about doing this commission I recontacted Austria to see what the stsus was on the kit. The company that wanted the model had phurchased 7 of these real trailers for their fleet and wanted a model of it with a model of the KW T-800. He was having some issues with a few things but felt it would availble soon. I had few other projects on the bench so I put this one on hold , the trucking company owner wasn't in rush so I figured I had some time. Then about 1.5 yrs ago I get an email from the friend in Quesnel,he heard from Peerless that the Trucking company in Williams lake was getting a model of their trailer. I was thinking WTF. Turns out the Peerless salesman that sold the company the 7 trailers, had been involed with getting the information to the fellow in Austria. He asked for one the trailer kits , built and painted to give to customers as a Thanks for the business. The trailers were shipped from Austria to the Peerless factory in Penticton BC, as we know what couriers are like, the trailers were damaged when they arrived. Not knowing what to do or where Victoria was in relantion to Penticton, the builder in Austria had the salesman at Peerless contact me, to do the repairs to the model. The trailer came to me here, I did the repairs, sent the model back via another salesman that lives here on Vancouver Island, he flys from here to Penticton then tinto Alberta where his saales territory is. It was soon after I did the repairs that I started the T-800. Just finished it in Sept and drove up to deliver it in October. Apon arrival the owner decided the trailer colour wasn't close enough to the truck colour, I had used their paint codes to get the paint mixed. It turns out there are 2 codes for the colour name, they have the same issue them selves so it isn't a surprize that it got mixed up in Austria. Thanks for all the encouragement during this project. Doug.
