What track link part numbers do you have now? Track pitch is 8.00 inch and comes in either 5/8" or 3/4" pad bolting. Sealed and sealed and lubricated options are available. There are some interchanges with other Cat models that also use the 8.00 inch pitch as well as interchange with some Komatsu models.

3/4 bolting would be a 3P1112 RH and 3P1113 LH link number and would be visable as a raised number on the links. Same link used for both sealed and sealed and lubricated tracks.

Could also be a former 7S9109 RH and 7S9110 LH link number.

The D6C chain is the same as the JD850C. It does not fit any Komatsu or Case equipment.
Good luck, QuickTrax

That must be a later chain as my Cat literature shows the 8.00 in. pitch chain for Komatsu and the D6C as using the same sealed track link assy 3P1088 part number.

I am also taking bolt pattern into consideration. The Kom. D65 does have an 8" pitch but it doesn't have the same link as the D6c,d chains.

My 1989 Caterpillar Parts Sales Kit Form PEKP9100 shows a whole list of D6C track shoes that fit the 3P1088 link assemblies (same as Kamatsu D60 & D65 with 8" pitch) using the same 3P1112 RH link and 3P1113 LH regular links......What gives????

There is a fine print note that Cat and Komatsu shoe bolt hole patterns are not interchangeable. Does that mean even though the link and assembly part numbers are the same, they are actually drilled different?

Even if the pad bolting were different, would they not interchange as a complete pad and chain assembly?

They will have different bolt patterns. I believe you can use the D65P conplete track on the D6C,D but would have to adjust the link count.
