HSV127 Well it looks to me like you have a mission now LOL Seen as how you brought it up we should try and find out what became of her just for history sake. Funny how the light shines on something for a short time then it disappears into the history books. Thanks for bringing up the story on her

Born2clearcut The 2 P16s up at winter harbour in posting #255 were new at Caycuse in 1978 or 79 the 6-261 had a v12-71 the 6-262 had a 3408 cat in it . After Fletcher Challenge took us over they became the 40-131 and 40-132. They were sold to Moore 2001 2002 when Timber west was switching over to highway trucks at HBO. They were convenional trucks and the last new trucks purchased by BCFP for Caycuse.

Hayesno1 The posting #373 shows IPLs H160 it was originaly the 6-264 it is the last new off highway truck BCFP bought for Renfrew Div. In the spring of 1980. It had a K series Cummuns in it with rockwell rearends the only ones in the fleet with them. The truck was renumbered 40-140 by Fletcher Challange. Though Tom Worth didnt get it new he drove it from about 1984 or 1985 as the primary lowbed until his back gave out around 2004-2005 the truck was taken out of the HBO Div. shortly after that . Sent up to Lyles Courteny Div. where they blew up the engine . It was rebuilt in 2007-2008 and brought back to HBO before it was sent over to the Alberni area. One thing that really through me off is some where along the line the front bumper has been changed .

Hayesno1 Posting # 378 is of the 40-90 it was moved down to Renfrew Di. in late 1991 along with the 40-91 40-96 plus 8 perload trailers in a truck swap for 5 1986 pacific highway trucks BCFP #6-280 6-281 6-282 6-283 6-284 Fletcher # 41-141 41-142 41-143 41-144 1-145 as Renfrew was going back to off highway trucks and Nanimo Lakes was switching to highway trucks. The 40-90 was moved over to Masachie Lake after Timberwest took it over from Pacific Logging for lowbed work along with the 40-96 . The blue rad is off another P16 that had been Pacific Loggings Lowbed truck . wasnt that old dont know why it was parked maybe Timberwest had to many offhighway trucks floating around they all ended up with Munns until reality struck in 2007 and they all went to the auction.

camp tramp 6-261 went to Jack Cotterill new and 6-262 went to Roy Schultz (Sarge)new 6-261 had an air starter and if you didn't know and Jack twisted her tail it would make you jump Good bunch of guys Lots of laughs H160 now has a C15 cat but still has the SPR 137's in it. There are not very many of these diff around any more and a brake drum for them is now 2000 dollars each IF YOU CAN FIND ONE. Lyle has maybe 4 trucks with them in them but he is only running two H160 and a Crown Z Preload truck now numbered H119 Pete Glaser has H160 and Dave Golbeck has H119

HDX The 40-90 40-91 40-96 had spr 137s in them if the H119 came over your way with the other two BCFP preloaders (6-260 40-138) and( 6-263 40-139 )P16s its probably the 40-91 . The 40-90 and the 40-96 both ended up at Munns at Masachie Lake and ended up in the auction at Chemainus . I ran across a fellow acouple of years ago that told me the 40-90 and the 40-96 ended up coast at Lily and Russles . Question for you the BCFP preloads were not only different from the CZ preloads by the way they loaded their empty trailers but the king pin to fifh wheel on the BCFP truck were larger than CZ preloaders. Are the pins on the MB trucks the same size as BCFP or CZ trucks.

Yes All three outfits had different size kingpins IPL is working on converting them all to the 3 1/2 inch size we had at M&B Sorry camptramp The SPR's are commonly referred to as SPR570's I screwed up with the 137 because that's what some called them However they both mean the same thing. I was at the auction that those two trucks were sold to R/L and they had Leroy unit numbers on them The one with H17 on it was a parts truck and Lyle ended up getting the 5th wheel assy off it if he wouldn't bid against them on it They got it for like around 4500.00 The rear end assy was still completely intact It was not till a short time after that when everybody found out there was no more brake drums and she had 4 good ones on her LOL. I will send Hayesno1 a couple pictures of them down there to post for us OK

Hayesno1 Thanks for the heads up on the old 40-96 it is the truck if you look closely you can see the NASCAR Craftsmen series decal in the drivers side anti draft window . The same morning I put that in my window ,I put a Skoal Racing one in Jack Cotterals 40-131 window (he has a fondness for snoose) got a chucker out of him when he figured out who did it. Also I dont see the Pacific emblem the guys in the shop put on for me on the top rad tank. Its got that 600 Cumiuns in it Ill tell you when Tom Worth had a 7280 on board the lowbed and I was pushing him ,we could get it from Port Renfrew to Gordon River camp quicker than a truck with a load of logs.

was at that auction and think Colin Sargison (RFH) bought the first trailer for parts, and he did have his eye on the truck, though if he got it I'm not sure.
