LP Washington

This is the one I was thinking about, but this seems not to be the same. At least cab is not on a riser. But I have seen another LP big Washington somewhere, I will try to sort it out. I have lot's of pictures of big (208, 217 etc) Washington yarders resting. Do somebody know if some of them still are being used for logging?

A little more on the huge 217's. They seem to have been made from 1970 to 1973 in a number of 29. Most of them probably had Cummins CV1710 power and 24 of them actually went to Bislig Bay on Mindanao in the Philippines. 9 of these had 110 feet spars and carriers, rest where probably sled mounted. 1 went to Ketchikan pulp and one to Simpson in Washington and 3 to California. I know about 2 217's exisiting today; Huffman & Wright had one that they probably obtained from the Philippines, this machine is stored and seems to be in good condition. I will bring pictures of that one. The other is probably owned by Auburn Timber/Rainier Skyline Excavator and is seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGb6MY-BMQc.

I frequently go to the Philippines and maybe in the future I get the chance to go to Bislig Bay, since it seems to have been exported more than 60 Washington yarders there in the sixties and early seventies...

I run a modified 158 washington yarder. Its on a Berger carrier with a Berger tower. It has an extra drum added to it. looks a lot like a 207. I was looking for information on this third drum that was modified. the gear and drum is exactly the same as the skidding line 66649. Theres a small gear that goes between these two on an aditional shaft. I need a new shaft and possibly a new gear but I cant find a part# on small gear.

Have you checked with Ramsey's? They have a lot of Washington stuff.

I havn't yet. I know we got this yarder from Rawson logging. I know that when it comes to getting parts made modern machinery has helped me out a lot in the past but I don't know what the specs are and havnt had much luck with the machine shops around here.
