I didn't want to mess up another guys thread but he reminded me of an old bridge project ....

Completed in September 2008, this was a Design/Build contract for a 2,222 foot long, curvilinear, cable stayed bridge, over the Missouri River at Omaha, NE. this project, not only involved our cranes, but also Flexi-floats and a prefabricated steel trestle bridge, for a crane runway.

Couple of days this week in Northwest Missouri . I helped a contractor set rebar cages for cell tower footings . 5 foot holes , 36 foot deep

Yesterday was putting one of the 300 tons together to take down a tower crane Monday , 260 main boom 60 foot jib . Spent Thursday dodging the lightening to load out and 8 and a half hours stuffing it together Friday .

LOL , It has to do a lot with what stage of the game we are in . No pics of the pendant lines being put together cuz it's all hands on deck then .:wink2

Plus using the phone I can snap a quick picture about anytime .

Old cranker umm oops Oldtanker , I wouldn't have it any other way :D

Hey Tiny what keeps the foundation holes for the towers from collapsing,my guess is drillers mud but I really don't know

Most of the ground around here is clay and shale past 5 or 6 feet so most of them are just open holes but Near the rivers it's drillers mud or casings . These holes finally hit rock at 34 feet . Cages were 36 feet . Specs called for at least 6 inches of concrete under the cage .That's the reason I was holding them up while they poured concrete
