Hey guys bit of input needed.

Have a ZX-120-1 8500hrs regular service but hydro oils and filters may be a fraction over now. Have just repacked boom and dipper rams and am now noticing a bit of load on the motor with only slight control input and with heavy input gives that cavitation sound. Oil is at correct level.

What do you reakon, even before I redone rams it has sounded like it is loading out more than normal but today after finishing rams it was giving that cavitaion sound pretty hard.

Banjo had heaps of **** in it ( it always does when I check it ) cleared that but no change.
Could I have heaps of air in the system after the repack ( 3 rams ) I thought It would clear out after a few slow full strokes .

What do you guys think.

Thanks heaps

When ever you are taking cylinders off a machine make sure that the cylinders are in the closed postion, meaning close the cylinder to get most of the oil out before removing. This will help when you reinstall it will limit the amount of air in the system. remember that the main pumps do not like air going though them it will and can cause a lot of damamge quiclky. If the problem doesnt go away get a local road service guy to bleed your system.

On top of your pumps should be bleed bolts, loosen them a little till you get pure oil out
