That's pretty cool stuff. You don't see that everyday!....did someone torch it? Was the blade removed for transport?

While in BC, I was hoping to see more equipment. I did see an old water tank semi trailer new Port Renfrew that had seen better days.

Still lots of gear laying about. Where did you look?

I did not have much time to look hard, and mainly stuck to the main roads. I drove from Victoria to Port Renfrew, then took a road from Port Renfrew to Dundas. I did go to Englishman River Falls too.
Lovely place, and the people were really nice too!

Those machines are really old. It looks like they've done lots of jobs. And they really had a great adventure. I wish somebody will fix those machines and make them look new again.

Mr Miller, do you happen to have more pictures of the man operated skycar?

I would also love to know how frequent fatalities were from rigging going bad and someone falling to their death from a human-operated carriage, or skycar. Or was it even an issue?

For an operational photo of the skyhook/skycar, refer to page 176 of “A Loggers Lexicon.” There is a photo of it working for Glen Corning Logging out of Deming WA. Phil Grabinski invented the car when he was living in Portland. Phil held other patents for logging systems and equipment.
