Pitts 50 ton Lowbed Triaxle RGN

Who owns or has pulled a Pitts Lowboy? Just wondering the quality and strength. I am looking at a 50 ton hydraulic RGN, triaxle,10 wide,60" spread.
Need your opinions of this trailer. They are built in Alabama.

I should have said who owns a Dynaweld hyd. detach lowboy instead of a Pitts.
Dynaweld is Pitts?

Yes, you can say they are owned by the same man now. I think that happened a few years ago. Pitts is an ok trailer. I pulled a 50ton spring ride few years back and road dang good...I thought it was an air ride after pulling it. BUT I would never load one to full capacity. So if you are going to put 80,000# on it I'd say your good. If more then that I would be skepitcal.

Thats exactly what I wanted to know.
I figured they looked a little light for the rated capacity it could haul.
Still though I think it is a pretty nice trailer and well made.

Pitts owns Dorsey, and Dynaweld that I know of. I have a 2012 52 ton Pitts 18" loaded, 26' deck, hydraulic detach. Two years old now. Put between 80k and 105k on it regularly. Extremely strong trailer. Only thing I don't like is the ground clearance at the rear of the deck. Air ride is adjusted as high as can be, get about 3-4 inches loaded. Bigger tires would help, but then the deck height suffers. That's my only problem with it.

In my opinion without any further info, 4" ground clearance at the rear of the deck and the air ride adjusted all the way up tells me that the transition from deck to wheel area is stressed out. An easy way to tell for sure is that the rear wheel area will be kicked up in the rear. That is a crucial stress point in any trailer. If that is true then the trailer actually can't handle the weight that you have been putting on it. I'm curious if the wheel area is doing that. The trailer shoulkd have way more ground clearance then what you stated.
