Hello I am new to this forum, as well as new to Dozers. I just bought a 1983 deere 450D. It has the HL-R transmission seems to run and operate well with the exception of the right side final drive. I think there is a problem with the final drive bearing. I have noticed the sprocket is hitting the rear lower roller at times and has chipped some of the teeth. My question is can I remove the final drive without removing the side frame. looks pretty straight forward break track, remove sprocket, remove final assembly. What am I missing thanks for your help and advice.
