Yep. 500 gallon diesel tank and 120 gallon DEF tank. Fuel pump is 45gpm engine driven and the DEF pump is 12V. Only the truck and and my 290 use DEF atm and neither uses much. All 3 combines will have it next year. Combines will need DEF every 2-3 days. Gonna be fun when we're 60+ miles from the nearest bulk source. Plan is to get another combo diesel/def tank built to go in front of and under the air compressor.

Do any of you folks have a welding table, platform' or deck built into your service truck? That is probably a dumb question, most if not all of the stuff in the field is too big to put on a table. I sort of feel that welding on a piece sitting on your truck with the ground clamp on the piece, might cause harm to the electronics or electrics of the truck. Or does it not matter? If any Canadians are on here I would like to know how many of you folks have a welding area on your service truck.

Been looking at these for some time... know some people who have had them custom built by these nice folks, customizations like you wouldn't believe.

14,000 at 9 foot close to 50 foot tip height 2 hyd. extensions 3 manual extensions and it has hand or pendant control has its own outriggers plus truck has out and down outriggers in front of bed. we added to truck frame at back and front tandem is where rear tandem used to be actually went and cut frame rails off of another truck at just the right place and didnt have to drill the first hole plus the bed has a 8" frame under it. Then we found a bed to modify the way I wanted we built the back end and made sliding drawers for all the compartments and added the doghouse on top for extra enclosed storage of bolt bins and parts storage. Lincoln welder with 271 detroit engine that we added a front clutch and pulley to for running the 4 cyl. air compressor with 80 gallon tank tucked into outside front top of bed behind welder. Put a 24 volt alternator on the 271 since it cranks off truck batteries then when that engine is running it keeps the 2 8d batteries in the rear bumper charged that have there on set of cables for jumping. Truck weighs about 48000 the way it sets.

I like the idea of driving the comp with the welder engine. I've always wanted to run a hyd pump off my welder for my crane. This is proof an experienced mechanic can set up a killer truck. I had no idea Lincoln ever put a 271 in a welder. Is it loud like the 471's and 671's?

No louder than a briggs or kohler as long as you have a good muffler on it haha, and its powering 4 cylinder compressor. I allso have it tied into the truck air with a on off switch and one way check valve and orficed line so I can let it fill the tank if I want while the truck is running and when you get to the job the tank allready has 125 lbs in it. I like the old lincolns they just weld and start an ark like nothing else Ive welded with and the 271 is great on fuel but they havent used them in I dont know when probably early mid 70s?? some body else will have to answer that. Ill try to get some more pics.
