TOMV, I just landed a job replacing three bottoms in excavator buckets, 2ea 66" 330 cutting edge buckets, 1ea 48" 330 digging, and 1ea 966g 5yd cutting edge bucket, i will be scouring your thread many times for tips and tricks and may need to ask a few questions along the way. thanks for posting all of this info hear..........................theironoracle

CM, all the glass was broken out, door was damaged, it was easier to remove the cab and work on it at ground level, also inside where it was warm so the urethane would cure better.

At least that Timbco piece was inside. Sounds like you guys are getting pounded up there!

How many ton capacity is that center hole ram?

That's a 30 ton, one of my most used rams.

Tom, I'm a relatively new poster that has been lurking for a long time. I am about to embark a line boring mission on my own equipment, one because no one locally does portable line boring and secondly because I have the mechanical skills and time to do it myself versus spending a large chunk at mill shop. My question I guess is; are there relatively economical ways for me to build own boring tools? or should I dive in and try to buy a system?

TOM, i am trying to apply some hard face to a bucket repair i just did, i can't find a good setting with this wire hopefully you can help. i am using a study .045, what voltage, wire speed, en or ep, gas? i probably have about 10 feet of 1/4" beed laid down and can't find settings that works real well.......help!!!!! theironoracle

Depends what STOODY product you are using, I use STOODY 101HC 1/16" with 75-25 gas@26v, 200a, dc reverse. If it was
.045 I would start at 22v 150a wire speed you will have to play with.
