This trailer was just rolled out of the shop on November 26th and features and ultra low profile rear goose neck that at the highest point in the lowered position is 33" and has the ability to lift 20" in the rear along with hydraulic bump steering.

Yair . . . That looks neat Chaz--strange to our Australian eyes though (as you will realize if you have been following trailer discussions on here).

What would be your maximum allowable on that rig in California and how much does it vary State to State?

Cheers

Very interesting. I am assuming it is still "mechanically" equalizes for CA certification, correct? Do you have a close up picture of the rear wheel area where the stinger attaches? Any additional weight gains doing this?

With the laws in California and depending on the truck that is in front of it but with the truck pictured it would be able to haul about 171,000lbs legally in California with the 11' wide deck. If you put a beam deck in the trailer it would reduce your over all weight down and be able to haul more. As for state to state what is legal or not...That is hard to answer since it would make this a book long post. Off the top of my head where this trailer is useable in the US is: CA, NV, AZ, OR, UT, TX, NM, WI, FL, MT(not 100% sure on this one)...I am sure there are a few others I am forgetting.

Overall this trailer ended up being about 2600lbs more than the last 11' wide M2000 trailer we built but this trailer had a few things added to the front neck and jeep and also the rear lift that the M2000 does not. As for more photos, yes I have them but I can not post them at this point.

So this trailer has a rear lift? Are you saying that this trailer is an "east coast" style trailer with a nitro stinger?

No it is all mechanical. As far as lift goes that means the goose neck will lift 20" as well as the front will also lift 19"

Ahh, great. Sounds like an awesome trailer. I have had several trailers built over the past few years with lower rear wheel areas and they have been a big plus as far as giving the trailer more versatility. You being able to get the rear down to 33" on a west coast is AWESOME!!!!! I understand if you don't want to share more pictures, no biggie.
