Yair . . . That looks neat Chaz--strange to our Australian eyes though (as you will realize if you have been following trailer discussions on here).
What would be your maximum allowable on that rig in California and how much does it vary State to State?
Cheers
With the laws in California and depending on the truck that is in front of it but with the truck pictured it would be able to haul about 171,000lbs legally in California with the 11' wide deck. If you put a beam deck in the trailer it would reduce your over all weight down and be able to haul more. As for state to state what is legal or not...That is hard to answer since it would make this a book long post. Off the top of my head where this trailer is useable in the US is: CA, NV, AZ, OR, UT, TX, NM, WI, FL, MT(not 100% sure on this one)...I am sure there are a few others I am forgetting.
Very interesting. I am assuming it is still "mechanically" equalizes for CA certification, correct? Do you have a close up picture of the rear wheel area where the stinger attaches? Any additional weight gains doing this?
Justin
Overall this trailer ended up being about 2600lbs more than the last 11' wide M2000 trailer we built but this trailer had a few things added to the front neck and jeep and also the rear lift that the M2000 does not. As for more photos, yes I have them but I can not post them at this point.
