generally i like them. lack of a factory cab has kept me from purchasing one so far. kind of high priced for what you get.

I don't have any expierence with this model, but in genral i think kubota is one of the best for this kind of equipment.I have had great luck with quite a few kubota farm tractors over the years. And they would be my choice for a ctl, mini ex or small tlb.

I rented a 59 for a weekend,, It was much more powerful than my old L 48 which is the model the M59 replaced. Only thing I didn't like was the loader was jerky at times,, Nothing serious, just enough to know it wasn'ta 100% smooth. This is also a rental machine which had 600 hours on it, so the jerky loader at times, could have been anything,,, To do it again,. I wouldn't hesitate a second to own a 59, especially after having a L48 for 7 years,,

Thanks all for the replies. As you can see in my sig. I own one. I've only got 200 hrs on it since New. I'm not that impressed with Kubota quality and engineering. First thing that happened was the horn button popped out & won't stay in. rubber cover over blinker lever popped off (lost). At about 131 hrs. the cutting edge on the BH bucket broke and took 3-months too get Kubota to cover under warranty. It spits and sputters & smoke a lot on start up no matter how much you use the glow plugs. When lowering the loader (when empty) it really drags the engine down. All of these have been brought to the attention of the dealer with no fix, except the BH bucket. I do like the reach of the BH and the loader. I have never owned and construction equipment as far as TLB's are concerned but have owned JD tractors for 14-yrs. and have thousands of hrs. on them. So I guess I'm just used to JD quality.

lamarbur, I'm sure it's a dealer without a clue. It's been a cluster from the beginning, lying, misplaced parts and so on. I was so tickled to get the machine in the first place I over looked $2300 of remotes that didn't come with the machine. To late to cry over spilled milk now.

capt_met, I have used the 3 pth, and it's a pain in ass to use. Unlike the JD's you must have tools to put on and take off the hitch and you gotta get on the ground too do it. No just popping some lynch pins like the Deere. I'm glad that I have the JD 4700 for all my 3 pth uses, so I don't change out the 59's hoe much. I will be changing the hoe out more in the future because it's cheaper than running back to the pit to get the Deere for 3 pth use.

evidently they made a change to 3pt hitch, On my L 48 it took a few minutes to change out and no special tools or tools period

Yes there is a change. At the lowest point of the rear axle is where the draft arms connect. On each side you have too remove a bolt too get the pin out. Once you remove the draft arms you must put the pin and bolt back in or dirt would pack in the threaded bolt hole, Poor engineering IMO. I wish JD had had an equal option, but as it stands you would have to go up to the 210 (much more weight and $$) or down to the 4720 compact tractor with only a 9' hoe. I think I made the right choice just not very impressed.

I have been waiting as well for Jd or Case to make a smaller tlb as well. I'm beginning to think it's not going to happen. I understand Jd is ending production of the 110 so maybe it will open a space for a slightly better one to compete with the M59. The only other option is the jcb but I already have a jaguar and not sure I need to go that route.

Then reason I went with the Kubota instead of the JCB is the PTO hp. In that size of a machine JCB's pto hp was only 25 if I remember right. The JD 110 didn't compare with the 59.
