Before we owned a skid loader we would rent one a few times a year for job specific task and only when we really needed one. Finally we bought a 773G series Bobcat and now, very seldom go on a job without it. Somtimes we don't even charge for the use, as it pays for itself in the time it saves us and helps with things we would have to do by hand otherwise. I've cleared brush, backfilled garages and other walls, leveled dirt and gravel, removed fence, made roads and trails, trenched in silt fence, even took a truck mounted snow plow and fabricated a frame for it to use on the skid loader, can even remove the plow and use the frame as a small cherry picker. With all the attachments you can get and different type of buckets, its really awesome with all you can do with one machine.
