Buying a Bobcat T250

I have an friend who is offering to sell me his 2001 Bobcat T250 turbo with 3100 hours for $13,000. Went and looked at the machine and it runs well and still has a lot of life left in it. Tracks are around 50-60% and just had the oils changed 50 hours ago. I was just wondering if $13000 was a far price for the machine?

Sounds like a great price. Like I tell everyone looking at used equipment, spend the $150 to have a dealer go threw it so you know what you got before buying it.

pay your local dealer to connect the machine to service software, and retrieve stored fault codes

that will tell you about any prior issues with overheating, low charge pressure, eng oil pressure, battery, charging system ect.

may want to have them run a flowtest on the hyd system, and check main relief pressure
i'd have them pressure test the cooling system also.
check pins and bushings on the bobtach
obvious hyd leaks

we get quite a few o these types of requests, this is typically what we look at
